Stay Connected on the Factory Floor
Optimizing Cell Signal for Manufacturing Spaces
Manufacturing plants, warehouses, and product processing facilities rely on digital technology and network connections to power their operations. Secure wireless connectivity makes predictive maintenance, rapid material handling, and flexible production possible in today’s factories. When a workplace accident or crisis occurs, reliable mobile communication also determines emergency response times. Unfortunately, thick concrete walls and other building materials can impede cellular signal and adversely impact daily operations.
Reliable Signal for More Efficient Production
Equipment Functionality
Ensure uninterrupted performance of cellular-connected machinery, robotics, and monitoring systems. Reliable in-facility signal minimizes downtime and supports continuous operation of smart manufacturing technology.Emergency Response
Improve safety response times with consistent, building-wide cellular coverage that supports emergency notifications, first responder access, and real-time coordination during critical events.

Danone Boosts Productivity by Enhancing Cell Signal
- An outdated cell signal amplification system was holding Danone North America from livings up to their commitment to positively change the world
- In addition to reliable cell signal, the solution needed to be installed in an extremely clean work environment
- After a site survey, the Wilson Connectivity integrator recommended an in-building signal amplifier, 16 dome antennas, and an outside directional antenna to provide coverage for all labs, clean rooms, and office areas
- Cell signal dramatically improved immediately after installation. Cloud-monitoring allowed for continual adjustments in response to outside signal strength

Connecting a Specialty Chemical Production Plant
An eight-story chemical production and R&D facility suffered from weak in-building cell reception. Further complicating the operation was the wet production area that was constructed with signal-blocking metal grated flooring to allow water to drain.
- Outside the building signal was strong, but internally cell signal wasn't strong enough to complete calls or send and receive text messages
- To combat water exposure, the Wilson Connectivity integrator designed a custom waterproof seal to protect inside dome antennas in the wet production areas
- The solution covers 150,000 sq. ft. across several floors of the chemical production building
- After installation, inside cell signal was -65 to -80 dBm and allows employees to use their phones and other cellular devices inside the facility
